                发光二极管 (LED) 是将电流转化为可见光的一种半导体器件。作为一种固态照明 (SSL) 形式,LED 更高效、更耐用、使用寿命更长而且适应性更强。它通☉常产生单色光,以一种特定的波长存在。 本质上,LED 由 N 型半导体(有多余的带负电的』粒子)和 P 型半导体(含有多余的空穴和更多带正电的粒子)制成。这些〓半导体结合时会形成 P-N 结。在应用前进电荷时,带负电的粒子(电子)会向 P 区移动,而空穴则︽会向 N 区移动。电子和空穴在 P-N 结处结合时,就会形成光。 虽然 LED 类似于许多二极管,但它也※有明显的不同之处,例如它有允许红外能量通过的透明外壳。半导体材料也用于存储通过能带的电流。这些能带的分离方式决定了产生的光子能(光),反过来则决定了颜色。 LED 通常用于指〖示灯(条带图和数据显示等)、LCD 面板背光、通过光纤的数据传输(其调制能力能实现更高的带宽)以及远程ぷ控制。
